The blog has been neglected lately so here’s a quick post during this grey, rainy September Saturday here in Vancouver.
A few weeks ago I was hired by Audi Canada and Taxi Vancouver to photograph their Audi R8s and drivers during the annual Diamond Rally, a one-day event to raise money for charity while enjoying the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway. The route runs from Vancouver to Pemberton, then back to Whistler where the event wraps up.
From time to time I like to go back to past shoots and have a look through the images I filed as “b-grade” shots. Once in awhile, I’ll find a picture that isn’t as bad as I first thought during the original selection process.
The image below of RPI Equipped‘s Audi A7 Sportback is an example of one of those pictures which landed in the “nope” folder, but a year later I felt it deserved a run through Photoshop for some retouching – to be honest, I’m glad I did.
I thought before I load the kids into the car and hit the road to visit family for the holidays, I’d squeeze in one last post for the year. A bit of a reflection back on the images I created, companies I was fortunate to work with, and the vehicles which found their way in front of my lens during 2016.
I’ve been receiving positive feedback lately relating to the before & after posts here on the blog, as well as on my social profiles like Facebook & Instagram. I enjoy posting them; it’s something I love checking out myself from other photographers. Having the starting point next to the final image is cool to see. So it’s humbling to hear other’s enjoy seeing mine.
In-between all the heavy rain, and even hail showers we’ve been experiencing lately, I had the opportunity to spend a Saturday morning photographing RPI Equipped‘s latest project – a brand new Audi A7 Sportback.
