Having already photographed a couple of Range Rovers I was looking forward to the opportunity to spend half a day with the 2016 Land Rover LR4.
This past week, while out of town, I received a text from my wife with a picture and the words “Is this you? 🙂 “.
The picture was of a billboard mounted to the side of a parking garage in Richmond for Cowell Auto Group. I’ve done some shoots for them in the past couple years, and the large banner contained an image from one of those shoots.
It’s been a month, if not longer since I sat down to create a blog post. And if you follow me on social media you may have noticed it’s been about the same timeframe since I’ve posted any content over there as well.
The initial plan was to take two weeks to unplug and spend quality time with my wife and kids while on vacation. The two weeks quickly turned into four.
It just happened, but I suppose I was ready for a break from everything internet related. Don’t get me wrong, I love it all, the instant access we have to anything and everything. But I think it’s healthy to step away from time to time to recharge and have a good look at the world right in front of us, not the one on the other side of a screen. And that’s what I did, and I have to say, I feel completely refreshed.
As this post goes live I need to be honest, I’m nowhere near my office and most likely not even thinking about work. I am lakeside in the Okanagan on vacation with my wife and kids. Ok, I probably am thinking about work, haha, but still lakeside!
This is a short post for the week with a timelapse video of an edit I did of Mitch’s JZX100. It gives a quick glimpse into the process of one of my rolling shots.
Let me know in the comment section below what you think. And if you want to see more, be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel. There’s isn’t much content at the moment, but more will be added soon.
If you caught my last post (Lamborghini Reventon For Bonhams), I mentioned how much I enjoy photographing cars for Bonhams, it usually means an amazing vehicle is soon to be in front of my camera.
This stunning green 1967 Ford Mustang GT350 was another perfect example to support the claim.
Whenever an email rolls through my inbox from Bonhams, I get excited because it usually means they need another car photographed for an upcoming auction. As past shoots for Bonhams have proven, the cars are usually rare and unique.
Being number three of only twenty built, this Lamborghini Reventon fit both the qualities mentioned above.
The MK2 generation of Volkswagen holds a special place in many VW enthusiast’s hearts; some will argue it is the best generation of the manufacturer’s long history, and I agree. So when I was contacted and hired to photograph this iconic red MK2 GTI by the owner, I quickly packed my gear and headed out the door.
