Here’s another one of my before and afters to show the post processing that goes into some of my images. This shot was taken over a year ago of Travis’ static Audi B6 A4 Avant rolling through the North Shore Mountains of Vancouver, Canada.
I thought before I load the kids into the car and hit the road to visit family for the holidays, I’d squeeze in one last post for the year. A bit of a reflection back on the images I created, companies I was fortunate to work with, and the vehicles which found their way in front of my lens during 2016.
It’s been a month, if not longer since I sat down to create a blog post. And if you follow me on social media you may have noticed it’s been about the same timeframe since I’ve posted any content over there as well.
The initial plan was to take two weeks to unplug and spend quality time with my wife and kids while on vacation. The two weeks quickly turned into four.
It just happened, but I suppose I was ready for a break from everything internet related. Don’t get me wrong, I love it all, the instant access we have to anything and everything. But I think it’s healthy to step away from time to time to recharge and have a good look at the world right in front of us, not the one on the other side of a screen. And that’s what I did, and I have to say, I feel completely refreshed.
As this post goes live I need to be honest, I’m nowhere near my office and most likely not even thinking about work. I am lakeside in the Okanagan on vacation with my wife and kids. Ok, I probably am thinking about work, haha, but still lakeside!
This is a short post for the week with a timelapse video of an edit I did of Mitch’s JZX100. It gives a quick glimpse into the process of one of my rolling shots.
Let me know in the comment section below what you think. And if you want to see more, be sure to subscribe to my Youtube channel. There’s isn’t much content at the moment, but more will be added soon.
The MK2 generation of Volkswagen holds a special place in many VW enthusiast’s hearts; some will argue it is the best generation of the manufacturer’s long history, and I agree. So when I was contacted and hired to photograph this iconic red MK2 GTI by the owner, I quickly packed my gear and headed out the door.
If you are a regular follower of my blog, you might recognize the name, Mitch Fleischer. A couple of years ago I photographed his R32 Skyline (HERE) on a few occasions before it’s sudden death in a ditch on the North Shore. A couple years later Mitch is back and with another RHD, which he imported directly from Japan. As much as I was a huge fan of his Skyline, his new JZX100 is on whole other level.

Sunday Select for this week is a side profile rolling shot of RPI Equipped‘s old Audi Q5.
