I thought before I load the kids into the car and hit the road to visit family for the holidays, I’d squeeze in one last post for the year. A bit of a reflection back on the images I created, companies I was fortunate to work with, and the vehicles which found their way in front of my lens during 2016.
This past week I met up with Jonny from RPI Equipped to take advantage of the fresh snow on the ground in Vancouver to get a few shots of his Volkswagen MK7 GTI.
This past week has been a busy one with both photo shoots and a weekend getaway with my wife minus the kids. Before hitting the road for our great escape from the city, I met up with friend Shaun Delro to grab some shots of his Xterra with the new lift and wheel/tire combo.
I’ve been receiving positive feedback lately relating to the before & after posts here on the blog, as well as on my social profiles like Facebook & Instagram. I enjoy posting them; it’s something I love checking out myself from other photographers. Having the starting point next to the final image is cool to see. So it’s humbling to hear other’s enjoy seeing mine.
This image comes from a recent Audi A4 shoot I did for Audi of Richmond.
Last week I scheduled myself to head out and do some location scouting. It’s something I’m always eager to do, but struggle to find the time. Luckily, nothing pressing came up to take away of the plan, so I headed out in search of new spots to use for upcoming shoots.
Here we are, 2016.
It feels great to be back after a nice couple of weeks unplugged from the interwebz and relaxing with family. I have to admit, I found the first week tough to stay away from any social media. It’s crazy how integrated it has become in our day to day lives, and I didn’t realize how much until taking the time away from it.
I did find my groove by the second week and shook the constant erg to check my feeds, and honestly, it felt great to be disconnected. But with that said, it’s great to be back! Haha
I hope you all had a Happy Holiday and New Year! I sure did, and I feel refreshed and ready to get into it with 2016.
Before I do, here’s a look back at the shoot I closed out 2015 with – a Range Rover Sport HSE Td6 for Land Rover of Richmond/Cowell Auto Group.
I don’t think I’ve ever related to the saying “Time Flies When You’re Having Fun” as much as I have this past year. With less than 3 weeks left in 2015 it’s easy to say while the time has gone by extremely fast, I’ve been having a tone of fun.
A couple months ago I completed a shoot for client CG Motorsports. It included three of their shop cars, in three separate locations around Richmond, BC, Canada. The shot I’m sharing in this post is from the final car and location we shot that day. The brief for this particular car was to showcase it within the shop of CG Motorsports.
I thought we were due for another Before & After post, so here’s a look at the shot I did of RPI Equipped‘s Audi B7 RS4.
When someone offers up the keys to their car, in this case an Audi B7 RS4, and tells you to take it for the night and have some fun. You quickly take those keys and get moving before they come to their senses.
