I thought we were due for another Before & After post, so here’s a look at the shot I did of RPI Equipped‘s Audi B7 RS4.
For this image I used one strobe and took multiple exposure as I moved around the RS4, lighting different aspects of the car.
Once back in front of the computer I pulled all the images into Lightroom where I made my selects. From there, I applied my recipe of Lightroom adjustments globally over all the frames chosen for the composite. Then they were exported to Photoshop where I did my mask & blend to create one image from the multiple selections. While still in Photoshop I did the final tweaks and adjustments to fine tune the final image to my preference.
Something I find difficult when creating an image like this on location, it can be difficult to judge my lighting from the small screen on the back of my dSLR. Because of that, I will usually do 2 -3 passes of the car with the strobe to insure I have a decent frame from each lighting angle to use for the final image.
I’m beginning to think it’s time to start tethering the camera to a larger monitor while on location.
Thank you for taking the time to view my photography!
