Last week I was hired to photograph this stunning BMW Alpina B10 V8 that was recently imported to Canada from Japan.
During the past year or so I’ve been incorporating the use of a strobe into the majority of my work. Even though there is still a tonne to learn and my technique is far from perfect, I feel like I’m getting more comfortable when it comes to adding artificial light into a scene.
Something I’ve been forcing myself to spend more time on lately is lighting details of the vehicles I’m shooting. Trying to do it in more of a “studio” setting – the word studio is in quotations because it’s actually my tiny garage playing the role of a studio.
A few weeks ago I was hired by Audi Canada and Taxi Vancouver to photograph their Audi R8s and drivers during the annual Diamond Rally, a one-day event to raise money for charity while enjoying the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway. The route runs from Vancouver to Pemberton, then back to Whistler where the event wraps up.
Last Friday could have been coined Fanboy-Friday while I spent the day photographing and driving the 2017 Jaguar F-Pace R-Sport from Jaguar of Richmond.
